Is the entire rental amount due at time of booking?
No. Half of the total rent including taxes, cleaning and linen as well as security deposit is due at time of booking. The
remainder is due 1 month prior to check-in.
Is a security deposit required, and is it refundable?
A $200 refundable security deposit is required on all short term rentals. This deposit will be refunded within 30 days
of check-out, less any damages etc.... Your deposit will be refunded in its entirety less any items that will be charged
to you separately such as: Excessive cleaning or returning furniture to original positions ($25.00 per hour, 1 hour
min.), lost keys ($55.00 per key), phone calls and internet connections that are long distance (cost of calls), and
garbage removal left in the unit itself and not put in proper containers or disposed of ($6.00 per bag). If you enter
into locked spaces/ owners areas you will forfeit your entire deposit. If you fail to vacate rental property at the
required checkout time, you can be charged an additional night's rent, plus applicable taxes.
Do I need to towels, toilet paper, soap etc… with me?
Two towels per person, one face cloth, and one hand towel will be provided for the duration of your stay. If you will
be staying for longer periods of time or prefer more then provided, we suggest you bring extra towels. If you have
rented a unit that has a hot tub, additional towels are not provided so you may want to bring a beach towel for your
use. The rental of a unit includes cleaning upon arrival and departure, linens, towels, and a ONE - TIME supply of
paper towels (1), toilet tissue (1 per bath) and hand soap (2 per bath), trash bags (1) per unit. If you think you will
need additional supplies, please pack accordingly. Also, due to the nature of fireplaces and that most firewood is
exposed to the weather, we highly recommend that you bring or purchase kindling to make your fire enjoyment
easier. Coffee makers are supplied; however filters and coffee are not, please pack accordingly. We have no
recycling and usually it is a good idea to pack extra garbage bags.
Are pets and smoking allowed?
Smoking is not allowed in any of our rental units. If it is determined that you have smoked in the unit, your security
deposit will be forfeited and you may be charged an additional cleaning fee; if needed. Unless otherwise noted, pets
are not permitted in any of our units. If pets are found or evidence thereof we will automatically forfeit your deposit.
Can I get a Daily Maid Service?
Daily maid service or towel drop is not included in your rental. We can however provide this service to you for an
additional fee of $25.00 per hour, half hour min. charge and $6.50 per person for towel replacement. Most units are
equipped with washer and dryers for your convenience. You may make arrangements for these services in advance
by calling our office during normal business hours.
What happens if I arrive for check-in after your office has closed?
If you believe you will arrive after office hours please refer to your confirmation letter for the after hours check-in
procedure. This will give you exact details on how to check in after hours.
Our normal office hours in the summer Monday -Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, weekends by appointment and in the
winter they are Monday - Sunday 9:00-5:30.
What do I do if I have an emergency after your office has closed?
You may call our office and leave a non-emergency message after hours and we will return your call as soon as
possible the next morning. If you have an emergency please call the emergency contact number given to you at
check-in and explain your situation. If the emergency contact person deems that your situation is an emergency
(loss of heat, water etc...), it will be handled as quickly as possible. If our on call personnel are required to respond
to a non-emergency situation (no firewood, not enough pillows, or clogged toilet etc…) there is a $110 per hour fee
including drive time for this service. All other emergencies please dial 911.
What is the normal check- in and check-out times? Is early or late check outs available?
Check in is at 4:00pm; check out is at 11:00am. You may request an earlier check in time, however this is not
guaranteed and cannot be requested until 24 hours in advance. The earliest we ever check anyone in (if permission
is granted and unit is ready) is 1:00 pm, please plan accordingly. Check out is at 11:00 am; you can purchase a
later check out allowing you to leave anytime after 11:00 and up to 1:00 pm for an additional fee of $50.00. These
arrangements must be made in advance and no later then 24 hours prior to your departure. Late checkouts are not
permitted during holiday periods, no exceptions. Your keys are due in the Killi-Kemo office at 11am (unless late a
late check out has been arranged ahead of time) please do not ski all day with our keys in your pocket or left in the
unit. Any late key returns or unauthorized late check outs will be charged an additional night's fee plus applicable
taxes.
What if I accidentally break something in the unit?
Each unit is carefully inspected on the day of your arrival and we are generally aware of all items that may be in
disrepair however, please make a note of the issue you may have found and let our office know during normal
business hours. You, the tenant, are responsible for this unit as if it was your own home and you are responsible for
missing or damaged items. In the unfortunate case that upon our exit inspection we discover missing or damaged
property, there will be an automatic deduction of your security deposit for the replacement, repairs, and service
charge of the damage.
